The ISO9001 update has been published. For companies that have embraced the Business management approach to the standard, The transition will be straight forward. Such businesses already promote a Quality culture and it should go without saying, ethical behaviour. As Henry Ford once stated 'Quality is about doing the right thing when no one is looking'
Opportunities arised from a SWOT are usually actioned, the difficulty is making this an ongoing process rather than a single plan do check act cycle.
Change management is another area of focus in the revised standard. Historically many companies have changed processes without considering the consequences on the Quality management system.
